Search guides, questions and formats

Search runs on this page only. Nothing you type is sent or stored.

Check this browser’s local readiness

Run small synthetic PNG/JPEG and worker checks, plus a read-only resource-cache status check. This does not inspect your files, download image engines, prepare resources or certify file compatibility.

Local tools, saved results and conversion limits

Use the header tools menu, the launcher by Choose files, or /tools. Choosing a different route keeps the cleaner queue and visited tool workspaces in this tab, including verified outputs. Closing/reloading the tab discards them. Save first; choosing another source or clearing a tool requires confirmation. The app cannot confirm that a browser completed a download.

Adjusting settings does not silently rewrite an existing result. Results record their applied settings; process again to create a new version. Cancel stops new work and makes late results inert. Unchanged sources and previously completed outputs remain until you explicitly discard them.

Metadata editing is not cleaning. JPEG/PNG standard XMP and supported PDF Info/catalog XMP fields can be written or removed; unrelated fields remain read-only. Ambiguous/provenance-bearing packets and signed PDFs are refused. A later deliberate Clean can remove values you just wrote.

Prepare the local PDF renderer explicitly before text/page rendering. PDF inventory is limited to 100 pages, 250 assets, 8 MiB per decoded asset and 32 MiB total. Page exports offer PNG, JPEG and browser-verified WebP, 20 pages/run, default 1200 px or optional 2400 px, within 32 MiB total. Pages render sequentially. Raw JPEG assets, font programs and inert attachments are not page renders. Extraction does not grant font rights or clean extracted metadata.

Document conversion is text-only reflow, not layout preservation or OCR. Video conversion uses the tested native VP8/Opus WebM encoder, a finite source up to 30 seconds / 1920×1080, and output within 1280×720 total pixels. AVC/H.264 avc1 MP4 and VP8 WebM are the current source subset. Five-sample comparison is not a whole-video or audio equality check. Physical iPhone behavior is not yet verified. No file-upload or remote-conversion fallback is used.

A file seems stuck or preparation never finishes

Read the local-resource status first. Missing resources need an explicit preparation while connected; a failed download can be retried. Pending files remain in this tab and continue after successful preparation.

A different-build message needs a different action: retrying cannot update the open page. Leave the tab open to review your work, or use Load current app after acknowledging that reloading loses all selected files and results. Download verified outputs first. It downloads app resources only; it does not restore files or clear license/site data.

For an individual inspection failure, use Retry inspection. A refusal preserves your original and offers no cleaned output. Review the per-file reason or process a smaller batch.

Reloading the tab discards the in-memory session. Your original files on disk are never modified.

Working offline

Loading the app is not enough for offline use. While connected, open the cleaner and choose the explicit resource preparation action; offline processing is available only after it reports ready for this build. First-time preparation, updates, payments, checking a payment and legacy license upgrades need a connection. Current signed recovery files restore offline.

Private browsing and browser storage eviction

Private windows and browsers under storage pressure can clear site data, including a stored license and the offline cache. If that happens, restore your exported recovery file, and prepare resources again while connected to rebuild the offline cache.

HEIC, AVIF and TIFF limits

Fresh Export requires bounded preflight and actual local decode. HEIC primary/grids can include bounded nested camera EXIF and resolved thumbnails, depth or gain-map items. Export is primary-only and discards these auxiliaries; it does not preserve HDR. Alpha, sequences, independent photos, nested grids, tile crops and unresolved dependencies remain unavailable. 25 MiB per file. JPEG Preserve validates encoded structure without requiring pixel decode. JPEG/PNG Fresh and HEIC primary photos are bounded to 50,331,648 pixels (50.3 MP), 8192 pixels per side. HEIC separately allows 64M primary coded-tile pixels and 20M discarded auxiliary coded pixels, at most 256 items, and a conservative 1536 MiB allocation guard. AVIF/TIFF retain their 40 MP subsets. These are refusal bounds, not a guarantee of browser memory safety. Full 48 MP exports have generated-fixture desktop evidence only, with substantial memory use even after cancellation/retry improvements. Physical iPhone memory, Photos/Files delivery and saving remain unverified.

Preserve Quality is unavailable for these formats. Fresh Export requires explicit consent to re-encoding and possible color conversion, plus a valid paid user-file entitlement; Keep produces PNG. The original is unchanged. Known EXIF/TIFF fields are shown locally with partial scope, not a complete metadata inventory. Output signature, decode and supported output metadata checks do not establish unchanged pixels, HDR/wide-gamut fidelity or the absence of every metadata type.

HEIC uses bounded preflight and actual local decoding. Validated SDR grids, managed single-primary ICC/P3/BT.2020 conversions and one public licensed iPhone 13 Pro ICC grid with a recognized gain-map auxiliary have fixture evidence; auxiliaries are discarded in primary-only output. HDR converts to 8-bit SDR and cannot preserve source brightness/gamut. Other mappings and complex layouts still refuse. There is no cloud fallback or universal compatibility claim. Physical iPhone 17 Pro Max/Safari/Photos/Files selection remains unverified. A build mismatch requires explicit preparation/update, never clearing licenses or storage. AVIF/TIFF retain their subsets.

Size and count limits

Each file can be up to 25 MiB, and an active group can total up to 200 MiB across 20 files. A selection can hold 100 unread file references / 1 GiB in this tab. Save needed downloads and reports, then confirm release of the current group to inspect the next. Release discards current sources and results; it cannot confirm your browser saved a download. Cancel cleaning stops queued cleaning and keeps completed outputs; Cancel waiting files discards later groups. Clear All discards everything. Pixel, archive expansion and format limits are unchanged.

License recovery and pending payments

Individual Pro is a one-time purchase of 99 EUR total including applicable tax, with no merchant surcharge. Your bank or wallet network may charge separate external fees. A purchased major version is perpetual and includes 12 months of updates.

Returning from checkout does not unlock anything. On the cleaner page, open the unlock panel and choose Check payment for your saved order. A pending payment stays pending until you check again after the provider confirms it.

In the unlock panel, open Already purchased? Restore or export your license. Use Restore license and pick your recovery JSON file; current signed files restore offline. Use Export recovery to save a copy once unlocked. Older licenses need Upgrade license while online. Orders from before hosted checkout can use Recover an earlier order (legacy), which only verifies an existing order.

Related questions

Does PixelRinse work offline?

Only for the current build, and only after you explicitly prepare resources while connected and it reports ready.

Technical details and limits

Merely loading the page is not enough. First-time preparation, updates, payments, payment checks and legacy license upgrades need a connection.

A file is stuck, or this tab says it is a different build. What is safe to do?

Missing resources can be explicitly retried; a different-build tab needs an explicit current-app load, not repeated preparation.

Technical details and limits

You can leave the tab open to review work. Download verified outputs first if you choose Load current app: acknowledge that selected files and results will be lost, then download app resources and reload this tab only. No files are restored. Your original files and license data are not deleted, and no automatic reload or site-data reset is performed.

How do I get support without sending private files?

Preview the optional diagnostics report on the Help page and copy it only if you choose.

Technical details and limits

It covers build, connection and browser capability status, never files, file names, identifiers or licenses, and is never sent automatically. Do not email private files.
