Off. Default cleaning keeps your pixels.

output format

Matches your images: JPEG stays JPEG, PNG and WebP keep transparency, HEIC/HEIF becomes PNG. Pick a format to override. HEIC/HEIF sources can become PNG or JPEG only. No AVIF, HEIC or video output. Animations are always refused.

PNG uses a lossless codec with metadata removed. Color reduction is off by default; explicitly enabling it changes RGB colors (up to 8 MP), not alpha. The file may still grow.

encoder quality

PNG is lossless by default. Optional color reduction changes RGB colors before lossless encoding.

crop, % of the upright source

pixel size shown after choosing an image

Crop is measured on the upright photo, then rotated clockwise, then flipped horizontally or vertically in the rotated image. The same crop percentages apply to each selected image; shapes may differ for different source proportions. Changing any of these clears your re-encode confirmation.

reusable export presets

Opt in to store only format, quality, geometry and background preferences in this browser. Never files, names, metadata, hashes, previews or outputs. Presets do not change your license rights: processing user files still needs Individual Pro; the built-in example remains free.

Export preset settings

Empty slot. Adjust the image tools, then save current settings.

Loading never runs a tool or changes a verified result. Review effects and confirm again before processing. To edit a preset, load it, adjust the controls, then update it. Reset affects only the draft; Forget removes all presets and withdraws storage consent.

Choosing settings reads nothing. Files are processed only when you press the convert button below the file list. It decodes and re-encodes pixels in one pass: metadata, colour profiles, HDR and auxiliary images are discarded; your original stays unchanged. Already finished results are kept as they are. Applying needs Individual Pro, except the built-in example.

Advanced optionsDefaults keep originals intact

Changes apply to files you clean next. Outputs you already have are not changed.

Optional guided workflow · Photo sharing / preserve exactly

Each task opens a step-by-step workspace with a free example. The policy below applies only to this cleaner.

Uses the existing review policy, Preserve mode and original format. No resizing, re-encoding or conversion is enabled. Unsupported files still refuse.

Share supported photos without silently changing image content. Review faces, visible text and addresses yourself.

Filename policy stays the existing generic prefix plus numbered names. Choose neutral filenames in export options if needed. Workspace masking alone never renames an export; keeping original names inside a ZIP is a separate explicit choice.

Future cleaning only: existing results keep their recorded policy and settings. Individual conversion consent and technical checks still apply. Remembering the nonsensitive policy is opt-in under Advanced options.

Optional exported filenames only. Current naming stays the default. Anonymous mode ignores custom prefixes and original-name options; it does not clean metadata or rename entries inside source archives, document links or originals.

Neutral names are stable for repeated downloads in this session and unique within new bundles. Your browser decides how to handle existing files in its download folder. No original-name mapping is added.

What display masking does

Session-only masking hides filenames, previews and sensitive values, including accessible labels and copy actions. It does not redact original content, change exported names or sanitize downloads. Anonymous names and private report disclosure are separate choices.

Can PixelRinse clean my file?

Real eligibility requires local inspection of the file and selected operation.

Use PixelRinse without a connection later: install and offline instructions.

Configuration

Changes here apply to future processing. Existing verified outputs retain their recorded settings. For an image-tool result, choose new version from original to try different settings without discarding that output. Each version counts toward the technical active-group limits.

Reusable policy

A policy sets review expectations; it never claims that a file contains or does not contain sensitive content.

Preset selection is not successful verification. Actual results appear only after processing the final output.

Requires verified unchanged encoded image content and decoded pixels where those checks are supported. Any unavailable comparison is reported as Not checked; PixelRinse does not silently transform the image.

Processing Mode

Verification Engine

Outputs are strictly reopened and reparsed against supported checks. Image, document, and supported MP3 metadata plus structural invariants are verified before download.

This explicitly prepares app resources if needed and cleans only the chosen fixed fictional example. Nothing is uploaded. Your own files still need Pro to clean.

Advanced evidence details

Metadata lists are read from the actual supported text/EXIF fields before and after. Each check is reported separately and “Not checked” is never treated as verified.

These tiny generated examples contain no location or personal photo. They do not demonstrate GPS, PDF or Office cleaning. Identifying visible content is not redacted.

Compare an original and a cleaned image

Compare JPEGs or PNGs locally

Optional local comparison for two explicitly selected JPEG or PNG files. Source identities are the selected filenames; detected formats and same-decoder pixel differences are reported locally. It never uploads files or creates a cleaned export.

Limitation: this does not identify the encoder or library, prove provenance or ownership, determine PRNU or watermark treatment, or describe memory behavior.

€99 lifetime license

Pay once. No subscription. No credits or daily/monthly usage caps.

€99 total includes applicable tax, with no merchant surcharge. One user. Keep using the version you buy. Includes 12 months of updates. Purchased-major-version functionality continues afterward; future major upgrades and extra seats are not included. Existing license rights remain unchanged.

Inspection is free; your own files need a license to clean and download. Only the fixed synthetic examples clean free. Each active group stays within 20 files / 200 MiB, with 25 MiB per file and unchanged pixel, archive and format limits. Save and release each group before continuing. No cloud uploads or processing after this tab closes.

Convert images between JPEG, PNG and WebP

Change format locally and drop hidden metadata in one encode. HEIC/HEIF sources can become PNG or JPEG.

how it works

  1. 1Choose JPEG, PNG, WebP or supported HEIC/HEIF files above.
  2. 2Adjust: Convert is already selected. Pick JPEG, PNG, or WebP when this browser can encode it. JPEG needs a background colour for any transparency.
  3. 3Preview and save: confirm the re-encode notice, press Convert, compare locally, then Save.

examples

iPhone HEICJPEG · balanced 82 · white backgroundWidely compatible copy; colour profile and HDR data are discarded.
Transparent PNG logoWebPTransparency kept when the browser encodes WebP.
WebP from a websitePNGLossless output; often larger.

actual limits

  • Inputs: JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF where this build's bounded decoder verifies them.
  • Outputs: JPEG, PNG, WebP (when this browser can encode it). HEIC/HEIF become PNG or JPEG only. No AVIF, HEIC or video output.
  • Animated images are always refused, never flattened.
  • JPEGs with extra pictures (for example iPhone HDR gain maps) are processed only if you tick "use primary photo only". The main photo is kept; HDR brightness and secondary pictures are discarded, not preserved.
  • 25 MiB per file; active groups of up to 20 files / 200 MiB; about 50.3 megapixels per image.
  • Every tool re-encodes pixels. Metadata, colour profiles, HDR and auxiliary images are discarded. Your original file is never changed.
  • PNG uses a lossless codec. Optional RGB color reduction (32 levels/channel, up to 8 MP) changes colors but does not quantize transparency. Default PNG leaves this off. Any output can grow; measured bytes, not guaranteed savings.
